New Ammunition Rules!
NEW TRAVELLING RULES FOR AMMUNITION!
PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
With immediate effect, ALL ammunition you are travelling with, within South Africa and regionally within South Africa on South African Airways, SA Airlink and SA Express must be in a separate locked hard ammunition case.
At this time there is no problem arriving into South Africa with your ammunition in the checked bag but if you need to take another commercial flight, all ammunition must be taken out of the checked bag and sent along with the firearm but separate to the firearm and NOT in the checked bag.
Many people are still arriving into South Africa with ammunition in original boxes stuffed into the luggage and not in a locked box.
Please make sure you adhere to the regulations otherwise your ammunition will not arrive at your destination.
